The design and implementation of your site is interactive at every step of the way. You can have as much or as little involvment with the technical details as you like. The process can best be divided into four distinct phases:

Before Development Begins

• Initial Consultation - The first step is to discusss what your needs are, either in person or over the phone, then provide you with a proposal. This will include the cost and an approximation of the finished design. These consultations typically last one to several hours and we'll go over all of the options and decide what offers you the best cost benefit tradeoff. Ideally, your online presence should:
  • Generate new leads
  • Increase your visibility and offer another avenue to promote yourself
  • Reduce time spent on repetitive tasks

  In short, it should make your life easier and improve your business. A lot of technical people seem to lose sight of the fact that the point of the technology is to make things easier, not complicate them. We keep that in focus.

• Proposal - After our consultation, we'll present you with a proposed site design and cost.
• Deposit - Once you approve a prosposal and we have agreed upon what we'll deliver to you we require a deposit of one third of the total price before development work begins. This third pays for the intial research, domain name registration and design time.

Website Development

Here is where things start to get exciting and move really quickly. Now that we've agreed upon a site design and how we can meet your needs, it's time to make it a reality!

• Domain Name Registration and Web Hosting - If you don't already have a domain name, we will register one of your choice for you. We will also set up your web hosting accounts, email addresses, spam filtering and all the associated background details at this time.
• Primary Development Content - With the preliminaries above taken care of we'll start adding content to your site, and you'll see the look and feel begin to take shape. We'll upload your homepage, about us pages, contact pages, FAQs, etc now. If you've decided to have us build a site you can update yourself, the code for your administrative interface will be produced at this time. Your site will go online and look much like the finished product.
• Second Payment - Your site is now online and looks substantially like the finished product. Our primary development work is done, and the second payment of a third of the total is now due.

Post Deployment

• Search Engine Optimization - Now that your new site is online, you want prospective customers to be able to find you. We will tweak your pages so that search engines rank you well and submit your page to various online directories to begin building links to your site.
• Site Statistics and Tweaking - We will monitor your site's traffic statistics to ensure that it is growing well. If you like, you can have regular reports mailed to you. If you don't want to be bothered with these details then we'll take care of them.
• Final Payment - The project has been delivered and the final payment (the remaining third) is now due

Maintenance and Updates

• Maintenance - We recommend you update your site regulary. Both search engines and people like to see fresh content. We also like to support our work in good faith and we want to see our clients succeed and benefit from the sites we make for them. Because of this, three updates to a pages static content per month are FREE. Additional updates and new features are billed hourly.
